Job Description

We are looking for a Substitute Instructor to join our team at the Roswell Job Corps Center. As an instructor, you will be responsible for delivering instructions in designated subject areas in a classroom setting. Your role is crucial in maintaining a positive atmosphere to motivate students, ensuring discipline for effective learning, and building strong student-instructor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and uphold Company Core Values and operating principles.
• Promote a positive classroom atmosphere to maximize student motivation.
• Maintain discipline for effective learning outcomes.
• Establish strong student-instructor rapport.
• Utilize available curriculum resources effectively.
• Maintain student personnel folders.
• Follow required processes for student attendance and accountability.
• Attend all necessary training sessions.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum: State certification, license, or accreditation in the subject area; teaching experience not mandatory for state-certified candidates but practical experience required if not certified.

Preferred: Extensive practical knowledge of the subject area and teaching experience.

Knowledge: Understanding of methods to instill appropriate behavior and study habits in students; housekeeping techniques; ability to understand and execute instructions in English.

Physical Requirements

Frequently: Standing, sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking.

Occasionally: Walking, bending, stooping, squatting, flexibility.

Seldom: Climbing, lifting 50 pounds, carrying, kneeling, pushing/pulling, running, driving.

Environmental Demands

Equipment operation, occasional solo work, 85% team collaboration, college-level reading and writing abilities.
