Substitute Residential Advisor-SPR

Job Description

We are looking for a Substitute Residential Advisor to create a welcoming and safe environment for residents in student housing. As a vital part of our team, you will provide supervision, counseling, and support to students in dormitory operations to ensure a positive living experience and adjustment to campus life.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and support for students in various activities.
• Document student records and input relevant data into systems.
• Facilitate life skills groups and discussions.
• Ensure safety, security, and cleanliness in the dormitory and outdoor areas.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in education or similar field working with students preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to compose reports, direct individuals, and complete required training.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, sit, see, hear, and speak frequently. Walking, bending, and stooping occasionally. Climbing, lifting, carrying, kneeling, and driving seldom.

Environmental Demands

Operate office equipment, occasional work alone, majority of time spent working with the team and other departments, reading and writing at a college level.
