Job Description

Join our team at Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) as an Accountant! We are seeking a highly motivated individual with accounting expertise to work directly with the general ledger and assist various departments within our regional local government entity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform account reconciliations and assist in developing, reviewing, and modifying accounting procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze fiscal reports, interpret the Fiscal Control Act, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Exercise independent judgment and initiative in completing accounting tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
  • Current CPA candidate with up to two years of professional accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and modern office practices.
