Acme Operator

Job Description

We are looking for an Acme Operator to join the WesternScott Fetzer team. As an Acme Operator, you will be responsible for operating multiple spindle lathe type screw machines to machine metal bar stock using automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Use shop packages including manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts, and quality alerts effectively.
• Set up and operate multiple machines simultaneously based on routing requirements.
• Sort and rework non-conforming parts as necessary.
• Produce products according to established quality standards and report any non-conforming products to the supervisor.
• Participate in SQCD Board meetings as scheduled.
• Perform quality checks and maintenance procedures according to guidelines.
• Request raw materials in a timely manner for production and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Complete other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Safely and properly operate and set up various production machines.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to perform simple math calculations.
• Read and understand instructions, blueprints, and use measuring devices.
• Write basic correspondence and fill in quality forms.
• High School Education or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience.
