Job Description

Metro Community Health Center is looking for an Assistant Chief Medical Officer to join our integrated medical, mental health, and dental clinic in Swissvale. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, and fostering positive relationships with patients and staff.

Primary Accountabilities

• Deliver accurate and timely medical care to patients.
• Provide leadership and direction to clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate patient charting and record-keeping.

Primary Tasks & Duties

• Oversee clinical patient care within a Federally Qualified Health Center.
• Develop clinical policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Recruit, hire, and coordinate medical staff activities.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with the executive team to improve patient care and operational processes.

Assistant Medical Officer Responsibilities

• Balance physician and administrative duties.
• Ensure the highest standard of medical care for patients.
• Supervise providers' performance.
• Keep abreast of healthcare regulations and safety standards.
• Mentor and recruit providers.

Qualifications

• BE/BC degree in Internal or Family Medicine.
• Minimum five years' hospitalist experience with management/leadership.
• Experience with advanced practice providers.
• Knowledge of quality measures and compliance.
• Strong inpatient skills and commitment to exceptional patient care.
