Billing & A/R Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a proficient Billing & A/R Specialist to join OnPoint Medical Group. The role involves managing the full revenue cycle, ensuring clean claim submission, reconciling payments, addressing patient inquiries, and overseeing accounts receivable activities. As a vital part of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient billing processes and adherence to compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to facilitate claims processing and payments.
• Review, appeal, and monitor unpaid or denied claims.
• Manage accounts receivable reports and resolve outstanding issues promptly.
• Ensure productivity targets are met by clearing assigned claims efficiently.
• Adhere to billing compliance guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with strong computer skills.
• Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience and 2+ years of billing experience.
• Preferred experience includes college education in medical, business, or accounting fields, bilingual proficiency, and familiarity with billing software such as Athenahealth.
• Demonstrated customer service excellence and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
