Job Description for Caregivers (Teachers)

The Lead Teacher at Abacus Childcare is responsible for formulating and implementing the curriculum, weekly lesson plans, and training Assistant Teachers. This role includes helping in the classroom as needed, assisting with non-jurisdiction groups, and maintaining strong relationships with parents, staff, and peers. A minimum of a CDA and classroom experience is required. Management skills, sensitivity, prioritization ability, common sense, and professionalism are essential.

Goals and Responsibilities:

  • Communication with staff, parents, and children.
  • Attendance tracking.
  • Handling employee problems with the director.
  • Respecting children and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Participation in special functions.
  • First Aid and CPR training.
  • Adherence to center policies and guidelines.
  • Ordering supplies and managing classroom schedules.

  • Flexible schedule availability.

The Lead Teacher should exhibit appropriate grammar, English proficiency, communication skills, punctuality, positive attitude, and professionalism.

This position requires comprehensive knowledge and the ability to fulfill all center tasks and job roles efficiently.
