Salary: $52,039 - $74,341 yearly
The Air Line Pilots Association is looking for an experienced Event Planning Specialist to join our team in McLean, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating meeting spaces, hotel accommodations, and various travel arrangements for our pilot members and staff. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Travel may be required occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate meeting spaces and hotel accommodations for pilots and staff.
- Plan and organize Association meetings, events, luncheons, conventions, and room bookings.
- Assist Supervisor in booking lodging rooms and other travel arrangements.
- Travel as needed (10-20%, may include nights and weekends).
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- 2+ years experience in event planning, project coordination, or related fields.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience with Cvent Event Diagramming and Swoogo preferred.
