Job Description
Join Hood Container Corporation as a General Manager overseeing the Houston, Texas Corrugator Plant . In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of 180+ employees, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and driving strategic plans to achieve both short- and long-term goals. Reporting to the Vice President of the Industrial Packaging Business, you will collaborate with senior leadership to make a substantial impact within the business and the industry.
How You Will Contribute:
- Model and advance our Guiding Principles & Leadership Characteristics within the team.
- Lead all plant operations, encompassing various departments such as manufacturing, sales, HR, and finance.
- Manage the plant budget to exceed volume and profitability targets.
- Implement continuous improvement plans aligned with the organization's vision.
- Develop local leadership to enhance plant efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to drive improvements and advancements.
- Oversee and execute capital projects.
- Nurture customer relationships.
What it Takes:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- 10 years of industry experience in a management role, agriculture or wax products background preferred.
- Financial & capital management skills, with the ability to analyze financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility in an ambiguous environment.
