Job Description
Preformed Line Products is looking for a talented Manufacturing Process Specialist to drive global manufacturing performance improvement through equipment and process engineering collaboration. Join our team and play a key role in increasing manufacturing productivity and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Manufacturing Process Leadership:
- Lead technical process improvement and troubleshooting support for metal and plastic fabrication.
- Increase manufacturing productivity based on process KPIs.
- Support remote site alignment on manufacturing process standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Coach site manufacturing engineering teams for professional development.
- Production Equipment Strategy:
- Drive improvement plans for helical wire processing equipment.
- Maintain and update global proprietary machine design drawing catalog.
- Lead global machine maintenance strategy to improve asset availability.
- Review and support new capital equipment business case development.
- Product Engineering Collaboration:
- Provide recommendations for product development engineers focusing on Design for Manufacturability.
- Support PLM software implementation.
- Operations Support and Technical Expertise:
- Implement new manufacturing developments at PLP sites globally.
- Assess overall operations performance and drive improvement actions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in engineering or management.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing technology and processing methods.
- Minimum of five years of management experience.
- Travel Requirements: 30%.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse teams.
- Proven project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
