Job Description
We are currently looking for a talented Mechanical (Solidworks) Engineer to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC in Matteson, IL. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing cranes, material handling equipment, and various devices utilizing Solidworks. Your responsibilities will include designing mechanical drive systems, creating detailed technical specifications, and optimizing crane components while collaborating with diverse disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Design cranes, material handling equipment, and devices using Solidworks.
- Design mechanical drive systems and perform sizing calculations for motors, gearboxes, and more.
- Annotate drawings with standardized symbols for clear communication.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOM) for mechanical designs.
- Collaborate with other disciplines for turn-key projects.
- Perform design changes on existing equipment for modernization projects.
- Provide technical support to installation crews and customers.
- Develop technical specifications and procedures.
- Optimize crane components to reduce costs and improve delivery schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Solidworks or Pro-E.
- Knowledge of ASME, AISC, and CMAA standards.
- Strong leadership abilities and self-motivation.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
