Mechanic/Technician Apprentice (Meadowbrook)

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Mechanic/Technician Apprentice to join our team at Meadowbrook with Utah Transit Authority (UTA). In this role, you will participate in technical instruction, classroom lessons, and pass written tests in a competency-based program covering essential modules such as Preventative Maintenance, Electrical, Brakes, and more. You will work under supervision, assist in complex repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance inspections. This is a four-year wage progression program offering competitive pay and excellent benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to acquire a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Educational requirements include a 2-year degree in a related field, military MOS, technical school experience with related work experience, or UTA experience at the TVT/Helper level.

Shift

3:00 pm to 1:30 am, with rotating days off and a pay rate of $25.33 - $29.33 per hour, with additional increment as an Apprentice. Upon completion, graduates advance to the Journeyman level.
