Job Description
OnPoint Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in DTC. Our physician-led network focuses on providing quality healthcare in an effective and affordable manner. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting providers during patient examinations and treatments.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients, preparing patients for healthcare visits, and obtaining medical history.
- Documenting vital signs and populating electronic medical records accurately and timely.
- Assisting providers during examinations and treatments, including performing point of care tests and maintaining supplies.
- Disinfecting and cleaning treatment rooms, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
- Engaging in service-oriented interactions with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Performing pre-visit planning and addressing voicemails and inbox messages promptly.
- Maintaining professional relationships with vendors and following HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; graduate of accredited healthcare program.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills and EMR experience required.
- 1-3 years of Family or Pediatrics experience preferred.
- Current BLS card and state certifications.
