Middle River Aerostructure Systems is a world-leading manufacturer of thrust reversers, engine nacelle components, and specialized aerostructures. We supply and support these products for engine makers, airplane manufacturers, and aircraft operators. With a history spanning over 90 years, we have a 1.7-million sq. ft. facility near Baltimore.

Internship Summary:

Interns at MRAS gain exposure to areas such as Design, Engineering, Lean Manufacturing/Production, Quality, Engineering services, and Sourcing/Materials. Experienced managers mentor interns, developing their leadership and functional skills through hands-on training and challenging work experiences.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work on projects requiring independent decision-making
  • Develop presentations to communicate progress and best practices
  • Analyze data and perform assigned tasks with accuracy
  • Participate in early talent events and training

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a degree program leading to a bachelor's or technical degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed one year of college (rising Sophomore)
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 24 credit hours of coursework toward a degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Material Science, or related field
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
