Wilmington Eye is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Optical Technician to join our team. As an Optical Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional vision care services to our patients. From greeting patients with warmth to ensuring the highest quality eyewear, you will contribute to creating a positive experience for all.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with urgency and professionalism.
• Take and record measurements, custom fit glasses, and perform repairs on eyewear.
• Use specialized tools to verify lens prescriptions and ensure eyewear meets standards.
• Maximize sales by understanding patient needs and explaining product features.
• Maintain a clean and organized dispensary, securing company assets.
• Anticipate and resolve patient issues promptly, partnering with management when necessary.
• Provide comprehensive explanations of insurance and vision benefits to patients.
• Demonstrate a can-do attitude, strong drive for results, and commitment to continual learning.
• Participate in staff meetings and product trainings.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two plus years of previous optical and retail experience.
• Proficient in computer skills and following procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• High level of productivity and technical excellence.
• Willingness to travel to different locations and able to stand for extended periods.
