Project Engineer - Mechanical , New Berlin, WI

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Project Engineer - Mechanical to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC in New Berlin, WI. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical and structural design activities to support the modification and modernization of electric overhead cranes for the Region Americas. This role involves interpreting customer specifications, creating mechanical and structural designs, and managing project planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Legacy EOT and Portal Cranes Product Lines.
• Interpret customer specifications to determine project scope.
• Create mechanical and structural designs based on calculations.
• Generate necessary drawings for equipment layouts and installations.
• Write detailed work instructions for field installation support.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, and performance to budget and schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in overhead electric cranes or similar industrial equipment.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure is a plus.
• Proficiency in SAP, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Welding and machining knowledge is required.

Other Information

Role requires travel domestically and internationally, with site visits for application and commissioning occurring at heights up to 100 feet off the ground. Equal Opportunity Employer.
