Job Description
Corewell Health is offering a full-time position for a Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist at Corewell Health, you will play a crucial role in performing accurate and efficient diagnostic exams across all areas of general radiology. This position requires strong clinical skills, adherence to radiation protection principles, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following verification of patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient histories and document them in the medical record.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Utilize age-appropriate methods for radiographic and patient care procedures.
- Effectively communicate with various departments and staff members.
- Proficiently operate diagnostic imaging equipment and follow malfunction policies.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families.
- Contribute to department operations by assisting colleagues and complying with quality control.
- Ensure cleanliness, stocking, and maintenance of exam rooms and equipment.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas of radiologic technology.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required upon hire.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
