General Summary
The Radiology Technologist, under supervision, performs accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in general radiology, ensuring the best possible images for interpretation. The role includes providing patient and family-centered care, following radiation protection principles, and contributing to clinical instruction.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams with patient verification and history documentation.
- Monitor patient safety during procedures.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently and ensure patient and staff radiation protection.
- Provide procedural information to patients and maintain department operations effectively.
- Assist in training new hires and students.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT upon hire required.
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT within 180 days required.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA upon hire required.
