Job Description
Corewell Health is currently seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis during afternoons. As a Radiology Technologist at Corewell Health, you will perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology. You will be responsible for ensuring patient safety, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulations and standards. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the effective operations of the department through teamwork and quality assurance practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following verification of patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient history and document in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Utilize ALARA standards to minimize radiation exposure.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and medical staff.
- Maintain competency in various radiology procedures and equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association upon hire required.
- Training gained at student level.
