Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Matheny School and Hospital. As a Community Services Registered Nurse, you will provide skilled professional nursing care to residents with developmental disabilities. This full-time position offers the opportunity to enrich lives and grow abilities in a warm and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary nurse for a caseload of community residents.
• Provide skilled nursing care and ensure continuity of care and care plan coordination.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary teamwork between nurses, DSP’s, and other clinical departments.
• Document health care aspects according to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct education on resident health issues and treatments for staff.
• Collaborate with community health professionals and review residents' records.
• Respond to crises, recommend health policies, and monitor their implementation.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and required staff in-services.
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with nurse staffing coverage and provide on-call support as needed.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
• One year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license and Driver's License.
