Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join Pediatric Associates of Greater Salem Inc as a Care Team Nurse. In this role, you will be the clinical leader of the care team, working under the supervision of the Pediatrician, Nurse Practitioner, and Nurse Manager to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients. Responsibilities include managing high-risk patients, providing education to patients and families, offering direct care and laboratory services, and handling telephone and direct triage efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate infection control practices, including standard precautions.
• Provide age-appropriate care and use of equipment for pediatric patients.
• Assess and address the physical, emotional, and socio-economical needs of clients and families.
• Offer urgent in-office and telephone triage care as needed.
• Accurately document nursing care using EMR, including triage, education, and medication administration.
• Facilitate communication between patients, family, and healthcare professionals.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and perform in-office procedures professionally.
• Follow up with patients post-Hospital discharge to prevent complications.
• Engage in pediatric-centered continuing education and training.
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures and meet physical demands of the position.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.
• Compliance with sensitive medical information and HIPAA regulations.
• Proficiency in EMR, Microsoft Office, and email usage.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current license to practice nursing in Massachusetts.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Continuing Educational Units (CEUs).
• Practice within the guidelines of the American Nursing Association Standards.
