Under general supervision, the Special Procedure Tech at Corewell Health provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, delivering quality patient/family centered care, IV starts, patient preparation, hemodynamic monitoring, equipment operation, procedure documentation, and patient/family education.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients undergoing routine invasive procedures
- Provide intra-procedural technical support and quality patient/family centered care
- Perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and calculations
- Communicate effectively with team members, physicians, and patients
- Maintain radiation safety standards and perform quality assurance checks on equipment
Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited radiography or Cardiovascular Technologist program
- Minimum 1 year of EP, Cath Lab, or IR experience
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication, computer, and customer service skills
