Childcare Associate Teacher

Job Description

Keene Young Mens is seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Associate Teacher to join our team at the Keene Family YMCA. As an Associate Teacher, you will work under the supervision of the Lead Teacher and Director to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for children, implementing the program curriculum with a focus on honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Responsibilities

• Implement curriculum guidelines and daily lesson plans.
• Supervise children, classroom, and activities.
• Conduct observations and evaluations of each child.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents and engage them as volunteers.
• Attend family nights, program activities, and staff training.

Requirements

• Meet educational requirements established by state law; 9 ECE Credits.
• Obtain CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire.
• Complete health form within 30 days of hire; renewed every 3 years.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate program activities.
