Quality Assurance Manager

Job Description

We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Bakerly Barn LLC. As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading our food safety and quality systems to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standards.

Scope/Purpose of the Position

The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee all aspects of product quality, internal and external relations, and the development of QA technicians and assistants. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and high-quality product delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of quality technicians and supervisors, handling all necessary HR tasks.
• Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality systems in a dynamic production environment.
• Establish and nurture a strong Food Safety Culture within the organization.
• Maintain HACCP/HARPC plans and oversee the implementation of food safety controls.
• Lead the Complaints Program and conduct root cause analyses of customer complaints.
• Implement monitoring activities to enhance departmental KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant.
• Manage internal and external quality auditing programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, Management, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in food processing and quality.
• Minimum of 3 years in a management role in food manufacturing.
• Certifications in HACCP, PSQM, and SQF.
• Thorough knowledge of FDA laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in food safety principles and relevant programs.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work flexible hours and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills.
