First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for their shop serving Tacoma School District, Muckleshoot Tribal School, and Charter schools. As a Diesel Mechanic with First Student, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and DOT maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and repair various vehicle components.
• Ensure accurate completion of work orders.
• Assist with mobile emergency services.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance experience.
• Mechanic’s tool set required.
• Willingness to obtain ASE certification.
• Subject to DOT drug testing.
