Mechanic

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Master Mechanic to join our team at RICH TRANSPORT LLC. As a Master Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing tractors, trailers, and other motor vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

Responsibilities

• Consult with drivers to identify vehicle issues and required maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using visual inspections and diagnostic tools.
• Perform tests to determine the functionality of vehicle parts and systems.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks like oil changes and tune-ups.
• Repair or replace faulty components to restore vehicle functionality.
• Conduct post-repair testing to confirm proper operation.
• Complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
• Proficiency in using computer diagnostic equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
• Experience reading service manuals and work orders.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
• CDL certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working in a noisy and odorous environment.
• Visual acuity to inspect and assess repairs.
