Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Solid Waste Technician to join the Solid Waste Disposal Authority of Baldwin Co AL. As a Solid Waste Technician, you will perform essential manual labor tasks, operate trucks and light tractors, and assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the SWDA property.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as mowing grass, pruning shrubs, and removing trash.
- Operate collection trucks and light tractors.
- Drive pick-ups on light hauls.
- Maintain effective working relationships with associates and the public.
Requirements
- Basic skills in the operation and maintenance of trucks and light tractors.
- Knowledge of traffic rules and safety regulations.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and operate garbage trucks.
- Physical dexterity to perform manual work and operate equipment.
- Exposure to various environmental conditions.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $16.54 - $27.10
